A 23-year-old man will not be charged for the death of a 30-year-old man.

A Senior Crown Attorney says a suspect facing charges for homicide was acting in self-defence.

On the morning of May 21, Winnipeg Police Service Cadets in Air Canada Window Park were flagged down and called to a disturbance. When the cadets arrived, they found a severely injured 30-year-old man and began providing first aid. The man was sent to the hospital in critical condition, who died two days later.

The attorney told the Winnipeg Police Service that the suspect's actions are considered reasonable under the circumstances. The WPS did not share what those circumstances were.

The suspect's four charges were dropped.
