A human rights group says a collection of Nazi memorabilia should be pulled from an auction being held in Stonewall, Manitoba.

The items include belt buckles, literature, coins, and knives engraved with swastikas, as well as a book that promotes "racial purity.''

The Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center (FSWC) says items associated with the Holocaust should not be sold for profit.

The group also says Nazi memorabilia belongs in museums and educational institutions that teach people about the Second World War and the Holocaust.

The Canadian Museum for Human Rights agrees, saying it's important for people to understand what these items represent.
