Things may not always be as they look from the outside, as Jordan Feliz will attest in his brand new song 'Next to Me'.

Feliz has a new album set to be released on December 18, 2020, which will include the well-known and loved song 'Glorify' as well as the newly released song, 'Next to Me'. The album is titled Say It.

While Feliz's songs have been very well received in the past few years, things came to a head when he experienced his first panic attack a couple of years ago.

This was right after his wife Jamie gave birth to their second child, a son. Feliz struggled to carry the weight of the spotlight and the livelihoods of multiple families as he tried to carry it by himself.

This idea of doing everything on his own is woven throughout his new song.

From a report done by Jessie Clarks from The Christian Beat, after the release of his 2018 album, things took a turn.

"It’s like all your dreams kind of get handed to you, but there’s really no fulfillment in it, and I realized that it was because everything was out of alignment for me. Nothing was in the right place in my heart or in my mind," says Feliz.

After that point, Feliz shifted his focus and works each day to give everything to God, rather than try to do it all on his own.

“I’ve worked harder for this record than I’ve worked for almost anything in my life,” says Feliz. “With these songs, I want to encourage people to talk more about the beauty and the miracles that God does in our lives when we invite Him into our struggles…this record is all about what God has done in my life.”

The new record mixes the sounds of pop, Gospel, and soul while offering inspirational lyrics pointing people to God.

"This [new] song is a push to give Him all your baggage, your ego, control and whatever else you think you should hide away. Because when you do, you find yourself closer to the Father than you ever thought possible," he says.
