You can ask Colin Dyck about his basketball, but don’t expect him to take much credit for his quite impressive talent. He’d rather direct attention elsewhere.

“I’m a proud follower of Jesus,” he says. “I love to show my hard work ethic through basketball and I love to glorify God in what I do.”

Dyck, who is going into Grade 12 at Calvin Christian Collegiate in Winnipeg, where he plays varsity basketball, is the Providence University College High School Student Athlete of the Month for June.

Playing his sport remains part of his post-graduation plans, though he’s most excited to participate in community wherever his future takes him.

“It’s definitely awesome to see that people appreciate what I like to do on the court,” he says, adding, “They see my ability to play basketball, and also my love for Jesus. I want to be a good example on and off the court.
