NextGen Worship Centre is celebrating its second anniversary here in Winnipeg.

Lead Pastor Andrew Bawa felt a call to come to Winnipeg and in 2015, that call was clearly to plant a church. By 2016, NextGen Worship Centre was launched.

"We had about 100 people," Bawa said about the opening service in early 2016.

The church has grown since then and has gone through its ups and downs. Bawa says that those difficulties strengthened his faith in God because he knew that they were going to come.

"When I look up to man, I find myself disappointed, but if I look up to (God), I discover that even if I'm going through some of these challenges, he just brings us out," Bawa said.

NextGen Worship Centre has seen incredible miracles happen, and has sent out mission groups and held multiple conferences to reach people across the city with God's word.

The future is in God's hands, Bawa says. They feel like they are being called to being a part of a revival in Winnipeg and in Canada.

"The church will begin to reach out to the world," Bawa said. "We really, really believe that God is going to do something great."

NextGen Worship Centre will be celebrating their two year anniversary March 1-4, 2018, every evening at 7:00 p.m. plus Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m.
