Manitoba's total COVID-19 case count has reached over 66,000.

As of Wednesday morning, there are 162 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of cases to 66,009.

Out of the new cases, 94 people were not vaccinated, five were partially vaccinated, and 63 are fully vaccinated.

New cases by health region include:

  • 57 in Southern
  • 46 in Winnipeg
  • 27 in Prairie Mountain
  • 16 in Northern
  • 16 in Interlake-Eastern

 

Manitoba's five-day test rate is 5.7 per cent. There are 1,452 active cases.

There are 152 people in the hospital due to COVID-19, with 111 of those people having active cases. Half of the cases are not vaccinated, 51 people are fully vaccinated, and the five others are partially vaccinated. 

There are 30 people in intensive care with all but six of those patients having active cases of the virus. Five of these patients are fully vaccinated and the others are not vaccinated.

The province says 1,276 people have died from the virus.
