All is calm this morning, but it was another story on Wednesday evening for much of southern Manitoba, especially in the west.
Storm chasers followed a large supercell that came into the province from Saskatchewan. Environment Canada had issued a tornado warning for Gambler First Nation and Binscarth at 5:58 p.m.
That system had strong rotation, and storm chaser Jordan Carruthers caught a funnel cloud outside of Binscarth. The storm also produced egg-sized hail.

The supercell continued on a southeast course, but never materialized into a tornado.

Many areas of the south received rain as well as a light show. The City of Winnipeg saw the storm roll through around 11 p.m.
