A serious collision overnight had closed the Midtown Bridge through the morning rush hour.
The accident occurred late Wednesday evening. Police tweeted just after midnight that the northbound lanes had been shut down.

The Winnipeg Police Service says the motorcycle was involved in the accident. The passenger on the bike was taken to hospital in critical condition. The driver of the motorcycle was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
A number of markers can be seen on both the road and throughout a large grassy boulevard between Smith Street and Donald Street.
Northbound lanes were closed from River Avenue to Navy Way. Police say the bridge was reopened shortly after 10 a.m.
