Canadian band AIRO makes incredible music, but it isn't their number one priority. Their ministry is.

Keith Comer is formerly from Manic Drive, while Talia Comer used to play with Seventh Day Slumber. The two musicians fell in love after their bands toured together, and they have now not only formed a new band together but a new ministry as well.

The band's name is a testament to their goal as a couple. "Airo is a Greek word that means 'to raise up,' or 'to lift up'," Keith explains. "It's kind of two-fold. We want people to be lifted up when we're worshipping together. But, most of all, we want to lift up the name of Jesus. We want that to be clear from the very begining that that's the sole purpose of what we do."

The couple travels the country not only performing as Airo, but also equipping people for evangelism through their missions organization, Go & Shine.

"The heart behind that is to see the average Christian equipped and empowered to share their faith," Talia says. "We tour the country, and visit churches, leading evangelism seminars. The other side of that is we also do street ministry."

Keith says that they discovered there is a huge need for evangelism in Canada. "We met people who had actually never heard the gospel before. We didn't think those people existed in North America." The reality, Keith says, is that 2/3 of the population don't have a relationship with Jesus. "We know that we have to do something about that. So we're going, and shining, and we want everybody to join us in that."
