The new guy at Living Bible Explorers is finally getting the chance to use two of his greatest gifts to serve the youth of Winnipeg.

Living Bible Explorers (LBE) is a mission in the core of Winnipeg that shares the gospel of Jesus Christ with children, youth and families.

Curtis Klassen has been at LBE for the past three months as the new General Manager, but already has lots of great things to say about it.

"The first thought that always comes to my mind is how good my team is," Klassen said when asked how it's going.

Klassen says his team runs lots of high-energy programs, while taking the time to visit families at home, pray with them and minister to them.

"We visit all the families in our programming at least once a week," he said.

Klassen has spent the past few years as a stay-at-home dad, looking after his kid.  Before that, though, he spent time in both pastoral roles as well as management roles.

"I always had it in my heart and in my head to combine [them]," Klassen said.

Those two passions have combined perfectly into this job, which Klassen says has been amazing.

He's also excited about the future, in which he hopes to double the staff team, particularly with more men. He's also excited about their camp near Haddishville, which he believes will be growing in numbers and facilities.

"We're [always] looking for more churches to come alongside," Klassen said.
