A Manitoba school division has closed all its schools, and the RCMP has made three arrests after multiple threats were made online over the weekend.

The threats were directed at schools in the Lord Selkirk School Division.

Just before 7 p.m. Sunday, Selkirk RCMP received a report of a social media post where an 18 year old male had made multiple violent threats.

Officers quickly identified and located the suspect. He was arrested for uttering threats.

Another threat was posted late Sunday night and two more suspects were arrested, including an 18 year old female and a 16 year old male, both from Selkirk.

All three suspects remain in custody and RCMP say they are not looking for any other suspects.

All schools in the Lord Selkirk School Division will remain closed today while officers continue to investigate.
