Winnipeg Police Service is asking for help from the public in locating and identifying two males considered armed and dangerous.

On January 19, 2021, the Winnipeg Police Service issued a plea to the public for help with locating a male suspect in relation to a murder. They have since added a second suspect.

The Homicide Unit is asking the public for their help with locating two male suspects wanted for the death of Mohamed Mohiadin Ahmed, a 29-year-old male of Winnipeg.

On October 12, 2020, at approximately 8:00 a.m., a passerby had been walking their dog in the area of Churchill Drive and Hay Street when they noticed what appeared to be a deceased person in the Red River. Emergency personnel responded and recovered the body, which was later identified as Ahmed.
Members of the Homicide Unit began an investigation, and it was determined that Ahmed had been murdered at a residence in the Fort Garry area just days earlier.

Winnipeg Police are looking for Jesse James Daher, a 28-year-old male of Winnipeg. 

Daher is described as white, 6’3” tall, approximately 155 lbs in weight and has a thin build. He has green eyes and is believed to have a shaved head or short brown hair. He is still outstanding. 

The second suspect police are asking for assistance in locating is Evan Daniel Bill Brightnose-Baker, a 21-year-old male of Winnipeg. Brightnose-Baker's name was released on February 10 by police as a second suspect. 

He is described as Indigenous, 5’5” tall, approximately 126 lbs in weight and has a medium build. He has brown eyes and is believed to have black hair.

At the moment, both Daher and Brightnose-Baker are wanted on Canada-wide warrants for Second-Degree Murder and are considered to be armed and dangerous. The public is cautioned not to approach them.
