The entrances to two businesses at a busy East Winnipeg intersection are still blocked off by a large police presence Friday morning.

Police arrived at the parking lot of the Tim Hortons and Petro-Canada on Lagimodiere Boulevard and Fermor Avenue around 6 p.m. Thursday. It's still not clear what police are investigating.

Several Winnipeg Police Service cruisers were on the scene, and officers were talking to several people in the parking lot at the time.

Some officers appeared to be inspecting the ground of the parking lot looking for evidence.

There are also several civilian vehicles on the scene in the parking lot.

The WPS was not able to provide comment at this time.
