Authorities are looking for a woman they believe may have information about a May homicide.

On May 25 at 6:38 a.m., Winnipeg Police Service officers arrived at the 800 block of Magnus Avenue, finding 35-year-old Stuart Fritzley suffering from severe stab injuries. While officers did administer first aid at the scene, Fritzley died in hospital.

At the time of the initial release from police, they said a woman was seen in the area of Manitoba Avenue between Sinclair Street and Arlington Street during that time.

"At this time, no charges have been laid in the homicide – but detectives continue to believe that the female may have vital information related to the investigation," the WPS says in a statement.

Now. the WPS is releasing images of the woman, hoping someone can identify her.

The woman is described as being in her early to mid-twenties. She is Indigenous. At the time, she was pictured wearing a black jacket with dark jeans.
