The forecast shows rain, but Environment Canada says not to let it keep you away from Thursday's Whiteout party.

Brad Vrolijk with Environment Canada says there is a weak cold front slumping through the Winnipeg area Thursday, possibly bringing some rain.

But Vrolijk says he "wouldn't be worried too much."

Environment Canada expects the showers to be scattered, much like Wednesday, with most of the rain falling southwest, north, and east of the city.

The best chance for showers in Winnipeg is between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., before the start of game four, and could last for maybe two minutes. There is a risk of a thunderstorm as well, but Vrolijk isn't concerned.

"We're not expecting what you think of a thunderstorm in July," Vrolijk assures. "There might be a few lightning strikes then it's gone."

Once the cold front has gone through, temperatures are expected to drop but should stay in the upper-teens well through the evening, finally dropping to a low of 7°C overnight.
