Canadian volunteers will be working alongside people from Samaritan's Purse Australia to help those whose lives have been impacted by the bushfires.

On January 13, 2020, disaster relief volunteers from Canada arrived in Sydney, Australia in order to help fight the ravaging bushfires.

They will be responding to bushfires in East Gippsland, New South Wales, and Victoria. The fires in New South Wales and Victoria have been the largest wildfires in the region so far.

"What's happening here is all across the news in Canada, so this was an awesome opportunity for us to come and help." Says Tammy Suitor, the leader of the disaster relief team.

Samaritan's Purse asks for prayers for their team as they continue to help the Australians whose lives have been destroyed by the blazes.

Dave Ingram says, "We're looking forward to getting them on the ground and helping people in this disaster."
