Steinbach Bible College has named an Interim President.

Beginning on May 1, long-time faculty member Dr. Terry Hiebert will take over for Dr. Rob Reimer. Dr. Reimer is stepping down as SBC President at the end of April, after 15 years of service.

Dr. Hiebert has served with SBC the last 27 years in the fields of Theology and Humanities. Since 2006, he has been the head of the academic department in the role of the Academic Dean.

Dr. Hiebert began teaching post-secondary education in 1992 at Bethany Bible Institute in Hepburn, Saskatchewan. His previous experience includes serving as Lead Pastor at Warman Gospel Church from 1987-1992. He has a master's degree from Denver Seminary, which he received in 1984 and a Ph.D. from Baylor University in 1994.

"I desire to offer hope, life, and vision for the future to students, staff, board, and community as we emerge from our COVID disruption," explains Dr. Hiebert. "I have enjoyed serving with President Reimer for the past 15 years and look forward to supporting the great culture and momentum set in place."
