Friday night and early Saturday morning saw a number of Manitoba towns experience a wide range of stormy conditions.

A storm system that saw four confirmed tornadoes in southeastern Saskatchewan, moved into Manitoba, bringing with it high winds, large hail, and funnel clouds.

Tornado warnings were issued by Environment Canada on Friday evening for western Manitoba, and they have reported that a funnel cloud was reported around Virden, Manitoba, just before 10:00 p.m. They also reported some areas saw wind speeds up to 100 km/h near Sioux Valley Dakota Nation.

Severe thunderstorm watches are in effect again today for parts of eastern Manitoba, including Dugald, Grand Beach and the Whiteshell.
