Teacher nominated for her big heart: Undercover Valentine Grand Prize

Nominated by one of the student's mothers, Shannon Green won our Undercover Valentine's Grand Prize on Wednesday.

Miss Green was nominated by one of her grade one student's mothers, who was very appreciative of her. She wrote:

"I felt truly inspired to nominate Miss Green. If you want to think about a perfect, awesome, kind-hearted grade one teacher, it's Miss Green. She is so devoted to what she does. She is truly meant to be a teacher, that is definitely her calling in life.

This past year my daughter has been struggling to learn how to read. She has been so committed to helping her read. Staying after school, sending home extra books, really using such kind words to really boost her self-esteem. It's just incredible how she knows what her needs are and how to make her feel confident. There are no words on how thankful and grateful I am to have her in her life. She has definitely stolen a piece of my heart. I thought there's no better way to make her feel loved than to nominate her! She truly deserves a loving day, because she put so many other people's needs first."

It's safe to say that her kids love her!
