Tim Neufeld and his banjo-playing band mates are making their way across Canada on tour and this weekend are stopping at three locations in Manitoba.

According to lead singer Tim Neufeld, the band hasn't played in Manitoba since 2018.

"We're so grateful for the freedom to gather again and to see all of our friends," says Neufeld about this cross-Canada tour. "Especially in places like Manitoba where the entire band and crew are originally from. It's about the most important province among the seven of us that are touring right now. We're excited to come back."

Tim & The Glory Boys started off their Home-Town Hoedown tour in B.C. earlier this month.

"I've said it before, I don't care how big the room is as long as it's full. We're expecting nothing less in these Manitoba cities."

The band will stop and perform in Winkler, Brandon, as well as at the West End Cultural Centre in Winnipeg this coming weekend.

"We've been holed up for the past two and a half years. All we've been doing is dreaming up how to have the best possible tour to launch with and that's what we're in the middle of."

Neufeld explains where the name of the band came from.

"It came from a desire to be more of a band that is of the people. More of a throwback, approaching, good ol' boys sort of thing. It's also a little ridiculous because it started as Tim Neufeld and The Hallelujah Glory Boys. We thought, the more syllables the better."

"If you are into a party with our kinds of instruments with a bunch of your friends having a time together, then show up. Maybe your life will be changed."
