Storm chasers and people living in western Manitoba are reporting a tornado touched down near Alexander, Man. late Thursday afternoon.
Alexander is approximately 20 km west of Brandon. Environment Canada issued tornado warnings for the area earlier.
Storm chaser Aaron Jayjack posted a video to Twitter showing the tornado touching down.

Jayjack says that the tornado "roped out" by 5:49 p.m.

Last week a large tornado in the same region claimed the lives of two teenagers after it tossed their vehicle over 1 km.
Tornado warnings remain in effect for parts of Westman as of 6:30 p.m.
ECCC has received multiple reports of a brief tornado occurring between Alexander and #Brandon , MB. The tornado has been reported to have lifted as of 5:55 pm. Storm moving east at 30 km/h.
