On top of being an award-winning CCM artist, Matthew West has been releasing funny songs and his latest is about covering up his teenage daughters up.

"It’s for all of the fathers out there whose daughters are joining TikTok and starting to date. The struggle is real," says West on his Facebook page the day of the release, June 18, 2021.

The song is called 'Modest is Hottest.' West includes his wife and two daughters in the video mostly wearing black turtlenecks.

"I'm a dad of daughters and sometimes my feelings are best expressed in my songs in case you didn't know that already. I thought Father's Day weekend was the perfect time to release this ridiculous song," West says during a Facebook Live video before the release of the music video.

He released another fun song right after the pandemic hit called 'Quarantine Life.' While the song and video were on the lighter side, it's garnered over 2 million views in one year.

While this new release won't make it onto an album anytime soon, West says there is some truth to it.

"From the moment I held my daughters in my arms for the first time, I knew being their dad would far outweigh any other pursuit I could chase after. I love you, Lulu and Delaney! You = Joy," West posted on Father's Day.
