The family of the late Cst. Allan Poapst was welcomed into the dressing room after last night's hockey game.

Team members expressed their condolences to the RCMP officer's widow and three daughters during their meeting.

The family finished watching the Winnipeg Jets play the Carolina Hurricanes and were fully-dressed in their Winnipeg Jets gear during the gathering. Players gladly signed jerseys and a photograph was taken with the family.

Cst. Allan Poapst died while on duty in a collision Friday afternoon on the North Perimeter, leaving his wife and three teenaged daughters behind.

A public funeral will take place on Friday at Bell MTS Place
