Winnipeg transit users will need to pack a little extra change in 2024.

As of Jan. 1, cash fares will increase by 10 cents for adult, youth, senior and post-secondary passengers, while the cost of e-fares and paper tickets will increase by 5 – 10 cents. 

Cash fares for full and post-secondary fares have gone from $3.15 to $3.25, and youth and senior fares have jumped from $2.65 to $2.75. 

E-cash fares also saw an increase from $2.80-$2.90 for full and post-secondary fares. Senior e-fares rose 10 cents to $1.45, and youth e-cash fares went from $2.00- $2.10.

The 24-hour e-pass climbed by 20 to 40 cents and the monthly e-pass jumped by $2 to $4. 

The cost of WINNpass e-fares and passes has been frozen at 2023 rates.
