The world's largest snow maze just got bigger.

Last year, the owners of A Maze In Corn set out to build the largest ever snow maze. On March 4th of 2019, Clint Masse received the news he had been waiting for, as Guinness acknowledged the St. Adolphe snow maze as the largest ever made. It measured at 2,789.114 square meters.

On Saturday, January 4th, an even bigger snow maze will open at the same site. Masse suggests it is about 7.8 per cent larger.

"It's not crazy bigger but we're trying to add features," he says. "We've got some lookout points inside the maze."

Masse jokes that the maze has been built in such a way this year that lookout points will allow you to mock your poor friends who are stuck somewhere on the inside.

The theme of this year's snow maze is Manitoba 150. Masse says Lyle Peters is sculpting little race cars in the snow that children will be allowed to sit in.

According to Masse, they have been much more efficient this year in their construction. Similar to last year, they had to make all their own snow. But, last year their most productive day saw them build 80 feet of wall. This year, thanks to a few extra staff members and some extra equipment, they built as much as 540 feet of wall one day.

Masse says he was shocked by the interest their snow maze garnered last year.
