The list of nominees for the 2024 Juno Awards has been released.

When it comes to Canadian Christian music, there is just one category, a Juno award for Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the Year.

The nominations for this category for 2024 include:

  • Glory To God - Brooke Nicholls Independent
  • ALL YE LEPERS- Joshua Leventhal Independent
  • Arrow- K-Anthony Independent
  • Where I’m Meant to Be- Stirling John Independent
  • Alive- Tuzee Independent

Tuzee, a full-time nurse and talented musician, was beyond excited to be nominated, simply writing the word 'Wow' on social media.

Stirling John says he is absolutely honoured to be nominated for Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album.

"I am proud to stand alongside you all and to share music with this world meant to uplift and inspire," said Stirling in a post on Facebook.

Brooke Nicholls, who was in Winnipeg this past summer, says she is beyond grateful to be nominated.

"This record has meant a lot to me, and my hope has always been that these songs would connect people to Jesus," said Nicholls. Just wow. I usually have more words than this, but I’m overwhelmed with gratitude."

For K-Anthony, this was a great way to start the year.

"Throughout the years, my passion for creating wholesome yet fresh Christian music fuels me. The journey has been filled with ups and downs, delays and a few closed doors, but each time, the Lord reminds me of my purpose and encourages me with things like this."

And Joshua Leventhal says he is humbled and honoured beyond words.

This is the first time in years that no one from Manitoba has made the list.

The 53rd annual Juno Awards will take place Mar. 24, 2024, at Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
