A crash west of Mitchell Tuesday afternoon sent numerous people to hospital.

Steinbach RCMP say it was a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 52 and Road 30E. Police do not yet know what caused the crash.

What they do know is that the lone male occupant of a Toyota Tundra was sent to hospital in Steinbach.

A woman driving a van, and her daughter were taken to Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg by ground ambulance.

In the third vehicle was a female driving a Honda Civic. She was taken to Health Sciences Centre, while two young girls in that car were transported to hospital in Steinbach.

Police say all six occupants from Tuesday afternoon's crash were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to RCMP, that intersection reopened to traffic shortly before 7 pm.
