Bundle up, Manitoba!

With extreme cold warnings in effect from Melita to Churchill, nearly the entire keystone province continues to experience freezing temperatures.

Environment Canada notes that a cold, arctic airmass has moved into Manitoba after ridge of high pressure built over the Prairies.

In Winnipeg, the mercury is forecast to plunge down to minus 37 tonight though with windchill will feel more like minus 48.

A mix of sun and cloud is expected Friday with  a high of minus 21 before temperatures rebound Saturday to a comparatively balmy minus 8.

With the extreme cold warning in effect, remember to limit exposure outdoors, dress to the conditions and be mindful of pets. If it's too cold for you, it's too cold for them.

Seasonal highs this time of year are minus 13 with a low temperature of minus 24.
