Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) shared a unique new partnership via social media on April 1.

The faith-based post-secondary institution took to Facebook Wednesday to share their new flock with followers.

"During this time of challenge and transition, CMU has partnered with Ducks Unlimited to offer a new range of services now available at Marpeck Commons to the local Canadian goose community," the organization wrote.

CMU revealed in their post plans to become more accommodating for the large number of Canada geese congregating on their lawns.

"The upper panes of glass of Marpeck’s northern windows will be removed to provide goose access," says CMU. "Folio Café will serve a variety of local heritage grains and filtered water for the geese, while the CMU Library will provide shredded literature for nesting purposes.

"We are excited to facilitate creation care through this period of physical distancing," CMU says.

The post was indeed made in honour of April Fools Day. Commenters on the post were quick to catch on and enjoyed a good laugh over the joke.

"I was REALLY hoping you'd take this opportunity to partner with Ducks Unlimited. You made the right decision. On behalf of graduates everywhere, thank you!" says Anna Ruth.

Carrie Martens was glad to see CMU having fun April 1.

"I was telling my partner just yesterday that I was so hoping CMU would still have an April Fool's post. Yours are the best!" Martens says.

CMU's post had received 195 reactions on Facebook on April 2.
