Everyone is safe following a large fire in Riverview on Wednesday afternoon.

The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of a fire in a three-storey home in the 0-100 block of Arnold Avenue just after 1 p.m.

When firefighters arrived, they encountered heavy flames and smoke coming from the home.

Crews were able to launch an offensive attack and had the fire under control by 1:30 p.m.

Everyone in the home was able to get out safely before the arrival of firefighters. Crews searched the home and confirmed there were no occupants inside. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available at this time.
