Authorities say a wanted suspect believed to be involved in an armed robbery of teenagers is considered to be armed and dangerous.

The Winnipeg Police Service is asking people not to approach a 20-year-old suspect, Gordan Lucas, and if they see him call 911. Police say the 6'3, heavy-built man with a bowl cut and undercut is a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred on May 1.

The wanted 20-year-old is facing charges including:

  • Robbery x2
  • Possess Weapon
  • Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order

Police say a group of four teens who were outside of a Tuxedo community centre that evening around 7:45 p.m. were approached by two men demanding their property.

During this time, one of the men pointed to his waistband, showing the teens a gun that was tucked inside. The other man pulled out a can of what the teens believed to be pepper spray. The suspects stole the teen's property and fled on foot.

Those who have additional information about this event are being asked to call Major Crimes at 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
