Winnipeg is seeing nine new cases of COVID-19, while province-wide there are 28 new recoveries from the virus.

There are 18 new cases of the virus in Manitoba as of Tuesday morning. The province says that the number of deaths remains at 14 but are unable to provide hospitalization information due to a technical issue. They say they will provide the information as soon as possible.

Seven new cases of the virus are in the Prairie Mountain Health region and two in Southern Health-Santé Sud.

Two of the  Prairie Mountain Health cases are residents at the Assiniboine Centre at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. A total of three patients and two health care workers have been infected with the virus at the centre. The province says investigations are underway. 

Currently, there are 459 active cases of COVID-19 in Manitoba, with 759 people recovered. The total number of lab-confirmed cases in Manitoba is 1,232.

The five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate has moved to 2.2 per cent. 138,060 tests have been performed to date, with 569 from yesterday's testing activities.
