The Winnipeg Police Services is investigating shots fired at a Winnipeg shopping mall parking lot on Sunday afternoon.

The WPS says they were called just before 3 p.m. to a report of gunshots in a parking lot in the 700 block of St. James Street.

Evidence from the scene confirmed that gunshots had been fired at a parked vehicle in the lot. The vehicle could be seen with a bullet hole and a shattered driver's side window.

Police say that there were no injuries reported.

The investigation into the incident is continuing by detectives from the Major Crimes Unit.
