CHVN was happy to bring a lunch break to a small deserving group that stands behind the community.

"We are a drop-in centre," says Patrick Leblanc from Teen Stop Jeunesse. "We aren't really big into sports. We're more for the geeky kids. Those kids that are into things like computers, watching TV, or music, we have a recording studio here. Chris runs a news broadcast once a week before COVID, no bad news, always good news. And culinary arts."

In the past year, because of the pandemic shifting things online, Teen Stop saw roughly 180 kids from around the world join online with their programs. Normally they have 35-45 kids during their normal program hours.

On the second floor, they run the St. Vital Adult Learning Centre.

"We're a small staff upstairs but we help adult learners get their mature student diplomas," says Karen Golas, one of the teachers. "We're offering up to eight classes per year with just two teachers. We're helping people get what they need to get jobs or go into post-secondary."

The staff in the building for the drop-in and adult learning education were thankful to enjoy a bucket of chicken and all the fixings from Chicken Chef, as well as get a few prizes to share.

"I can tell you we really appreciate this lunch break," says Leblanc.
