The DateNight Tour is back and making stops in Steinbach, Winnipeg, and Winkler next week, and one of the headliners says it's only thanks to God that he'll be taking the stage.

Each one of the three stops will be filled with two hours of clean comedy from Joey I.L.O., Christian McCartney, and Timmy Boyle. 

"It's a night to come out with your significant other, laugh, and beat the winter blues," Joey I.L.O. shared with CHVN. 

Being born into comedy, as his parents, "Were professional clowns," he says that he has always loved to entertain others.

But entertaining others almost ended before he barely got started. "I had a stroke and the doctors said that I would never perform again. Now I'm blessed to be able to have performed for the last 20 years," explaining that he was in music before getting into comedy.

He's excited to come to Canada and have a night filled with fun and laughter. "I'm really excited to see you and meet you. Don't be shy. Come up to me after the show as I'm always looking forward to meeting new friends."
