Fresh IE uses animation to share message of God’s love in latest release
Winnipeg native and Made in Manitoba artist, Fresh IE has released a new single, "Goodness and Mercy", and says to keep trusting in God, even when life is hard. Sometimes we go through failure and hardships, especially today with financial and relationships. Sometimes we feel far away from God, even though we know He's the center of our life," Fresh IE said. "Sometimes we can get to that place, we just need to remember that the Bible says nothing can separate us from God's love. Nothing can plug us out of His hands." Despite lifes circumstances, he wants to encourage listeners not to lose faith. "Just a reminder that God is so good, even when things seem really bad. Remember that God is good and that your answer is coming, your answer to your prayer is on the way and just to keep pressing into the Lord. This is a real encouragement. His mercy is new every morning." .embed-container { position: relative; padding-bottom: 56.25%; height: 0; overflow: hidden; max-width: 100%; } .embed-container iframe, .embed-container object, .embed-container embed { position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; height: 100%; } Along with many of his songs, "Goodness and Mercy" was inspired by a conversation between him and God. "Most of my songs, like David in the Psalms, he was crying out to God, his prayers and spiritual songs. It was between him and God. A lot of my music is the same thing. And then the listener gets to join in and apply it to their lives." In the first hours following the release, the song has already seen success, sitting above Forrest Frank and Brandon Lake on iTunes' inspirational charts at the number two spot. "That's a blessing. That's good company and I think some people might be, 'Oh, it's just a chart.' But to be able to get on those charts, to be able for people to see how good God is. This is important for us to give our best and expect the best for the glory of God." The music video for "Goodness and Mercy" looks a little different than normal Fresh IE projects, as it's animated. "Jesus says, 'Unless you become like one of these little children, you can't even enter My Kingdom.' So I thought I would make a video with a Pixar animation. I had a brother from Africa help me and he did a great job." Fresh IE hopes that the animated video will connect with wider audiences. "We really want to connect with the young people and the kindergarten and the young little ones whose prayers are so powerful and innocent." "Goodness and Mercy" is available to stream now.
