The devastating news of Russia invading Ukraine stirred our hearts, however, local phenomena and inspiring music kept our spirits high.

WAYS TO PRAY FOR CHRISTIANS IN UKRAINE AND RUSSIA

When the war broke out, hearts dropped and prayers were sent to Ukraine as Russia invaded the country. Christian leadership was determined to commit to spiritual and material support for the public in the midst of despair.

Internation support was flowing as well, and Loads of Love Humanitarian Aid and Mission Society was one of the many organizations to serve orphan children, seniors, refugees and local churches in Ukraine by providing them with food and other necessities.

Christians from all around the world were asked to pray for peace, strength and perseverance.

FOR KING AND COUNTRY SONG INSPIRED BY 7-YEAR-OLD

Luke Smallbone shared in a tear-jerking video how one of his songs from the album Cheering You On was inspired by his seven-year-old son, Jude. He remarked that sometimes Jude says some profound things, the conversation they had was talking about death, saying that one day he will die.

First known as the lead singer of the Christian worship band Hillsong UNITED, Gaukrodger has decided to branch out and try working as a solo artist. She released her first single "For All My Life" on March 18 under the name TAYA.

JORDAN ST. CYR'S DAUGHTER IS BACK IN THE HOSPITAL AFTER SEIZURES

Prayers were asked for the St. Cyr family as they found their youngest daughter Emery back in the hospital after experiencing several seizures. She was diagnosed with Struge Weber Syndrome, which causes neurological difficulties.

The local singer also revealed that his song "Fires" was inspired by another man's testimony of facing hardships and learning to let God guide him through them. Once the song was written, it serves as an anthem for Jordan's family as they faced Emery's diagnosis.

WATCH A METEOR TRAVEL ACROSS THE MANITOBA SKY

On a typical Wednesday night, Manitobans could see a bright streak of light as a large meteor flashed across the sky at around 9:45 p.m. Residents from Niverville, Roblin, Wasagamack, to everywhere in between had the opportunity to see the stellar phenomena.
