The province of Manitoba is continuing to see a downward trend in COVID-19 cases.

The COVID-19 outbreak in Boundary Trails Health Centre in Winkler is over.

Winnipeg's five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 6.9 per cent. Manitoba's is 8 per cent. On Sunday 1,568 laboratory tests were completed.

As of Monday morning, there are 74 new COVID-19 cases.

New cases include:

  • 50 cases in the Winnipeg health region
  • 15 cases in the Southern Health–Santé Sud health region
  • three cases in the Interlake–Eastern health region
  • three cases in the Northern health region
  •  three cases in the Prairie Mountain Health region

A female in her 80s from the Winnipeg health region, linked to the B.1.1.7 variant of concern and to the outbreak at Seven Oaks General Hospital 3U4-7 has died. A total of 1,125 Manitobas have died of the virus.

There are 2,075 active cases and 52,205 recoveries.  The total number of lab-confirmed COVDI-19 cases in Manitoba to 55,405.

In the hospital in Manitoba, there are 231 people, with 90 of those no longer infectious. Fifty-eight of those are receiving intensive care including 37 with active cases and 21 no longer infectious.

There are 14 people receiving intensive care in Ontario, and one in Alberta. To date, 33 people getting COVID-19 outside of Manitoba have returned.
