"Today I'm celebrating 18 years of sobriety and how Jesus radically changed my life," posts Chad Mattson, lead singer of Unspoken.

On February 4, 2021, Mattson shared his victory over alcoholism and drugs with fans on Facebook.

"Not only did He help me get sober, but He saved my soul. He changed my life, and he can change yours, too."

The band is known for their hits like 'Just Give Me Jesus', and 'Reason'.

"You might not recognize me, I do have a mustache but I'm doing it in honour of my 18th year of sobriety," Mattson shares in the video linked to his Facebook post.

He's shared his testimony multiple times over the years in detail and does so at shows as well, planting seeds of hope in Jesus.

"It's a message that needs to be shared because it's a message of hope and a powerful tool in our pursuit of recovery," Mattson shared in an interview with Steered Straight in 2019.

Unspoken will be playing their first show in roughly a year in Austin, Texas, February 5, 2021. The Hits Deep tour includes other major Christian artists including Tauren Wells, We Are Messengers, Terrian, TobyMac, and Cochran & Co.

"Today I thank God and celebrate the work of God in my life."
