Gavin Buhler is graduating from Calvin Christian Collegiate as one of their two valedictorians.

Buhler is summing up his last year of high school in one word: weird.

"We've had two lockdowns, so we've had to go through two times of online learning. I'm not one to have a challenge with it, I know some people do, but for me personally, I found it pretty easy," Buhler says.

He says in his speech, he is reflecting on the memories of his school experience, thanking those who helped along the way. He says close to two dozen people he spent his entire school experience with are in his graduating class.

What's next

Buhler will be going to Kings University in the fall, focusing on either animal welfare or human healthcare. He says his parents have been supportive of him

"My parents have done a good job of not wanting to hold me back or anything. They have been very supportive of my decision."
